Mohammad Morsy is the president of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), a political party that was founded by the Muslim Brotherhood after the 2011 Egyptian revolution. He was a member of the Guidance Office of the Muslim Brotherhood until he was later elected as the party's first president. In 2000, Morsy was elected in the parliament, to become the spokesman of the party in the parliament.
